Application deadline was Friday, May 6 at 4:30 p.m. for 2022 opportunities.  The City Council interviewed applicants on Tuesday, May 24.

The Burnsville City Council accepts applications from persons interested in serving as a member of an advisory commission. Commissions are responsible for researching, reviewing and making recommendations on related issues.

Opportunities are typically available on the Economic Development Commission, Parks and Natural Resources Commission and Planning Commission. High school students are also invited to serve on the Parks and Natural Resources Commission.

All terms begin on July 1 each year, and are open to Burnsville residents ages 18 and older (except for Youth Representatives on PNRC). Some memberships are open to people who work or own property in the City. The City Council conducts interviews in May.
