Night to Unite (known as National Night Out in some communities) is held annually on the first Tuesday in August.
The event is a chance to strengthen neighborhood spirit and City-community partnerships. It can also heighten awareness around crime, drug and violence prevention; generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs; and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Party registration will be open in June. The registration deadline will be Friday, July 23.
We understand that although in-person events are allowed this year, there may be some neighborhoods that aren't comfortable with holding a traditional Night to Unite party. Registered parties can choose to:
Forego a visit from the City this year and instead pick-up premade community bags to distribute throughout their neighborhood
Or can request a visit from a Burnsville Police, Fire, City staff member or elected official on the online registration form
