Partners in Energy

Burnsville is developing an Energy Action Plan and we’re looking for your ideas and perspectives. We’ve joined Xcel Energy’s Partners in Energy program to create an attainable, strategic energy action plan that is uniquely Burnsville. We’d love for you to be part of the team to help our community save money on energy costs, increase public access to renewable energy and reduce greenhouse gasses.

Our Sustainability Plan lays out our citywide goals to ensure vitality for generations to come. Our Energy Action Team will create a roadmap on how we’ll reach these goals.

Get Involved

• Take our survey by Oct. 22 to help develop the Energy Action Plan
• Spanish and Somali-speaking community members, join us for an open house - we'll provide free dinner, kids' activities and LED light bulbs for you to take home 
  • Tuesday, Oct. 10
    Diamondhead Education Center, 200 Burnsville Parkway
    5 - 6:30 p.m. - Somali-speaking community
    6:30 - 8 p.m. - Spanish-speaking community
• Join our Energy Action Team meeting on Nov. 1, 2023 from 4 - 6:30 p.m. at City Hall - this meeting will be held in English.
