Welcome to the City of Burnsville - You Belong Here! Gregg Lindberg serves as our Interim City Manager. Gregg joined the City in July 2019 as Deputy City Manager bringing vast experience in local government and in leading staff in collaboration, innovation and excellence in their everyday work.
The office of the City Clerk carries out various statutory duties and maintains communication between the City Council, Boards and Commissions and the public.
Burnsville’s annual community report provides yearly performance measurement data and achievements from each department.
Burnsville also publishes a monthly community report with highlights, achievements and performance measurement data by each City department. This report is published on or near the 15th of each month. (This new format replaces the previous bi-monthly PDF monitoring reports. You can view past reports here.)
City Council Meetings
The City Clerk prepares agenda packets for City Council meetings and maintains a record of all Council proceedings. View Public Meeting Agendas, Minutes and Video.
Data Practices Requests
The Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (MGDPA) gives everyone the right to look at and request copies of public data that the City of Burnsville maintains. Records may be viewed for free, paper copies may be purchased for 25 cents per page, and electronic copies are available at actual cost. Submit a Public Data Request.
The City Clerk administers elections, including accepting filings for City offices, hiring and training election judges, assisting residents with absentee voting, and certifying election results. View Election Information.
