2023 Programs
Program information and registration will be announced January-March, depending on the program! Information on 2023 programs is listed below.
Bean Bags: During the summer and fall months, Burnsville offers a bean bags league. During the winter months, we offer an indoor league on Wednesday nights. Registration will open on March 1 for summer leagues and November 1 for winter leagues all teams! Come play this fun, traditional backyard game!
Broomball: Men's and Co-Rec broomball for players 18 years of age and older. The Men's program plays on Monday nights and the Co-Rec program plays games on Friday nights. Broomball is played at North River Hills Park.
Disc Golf: Disc golf is similar to regular golf; however, instead of using golf clubs you use a flying disc or a Frisbee. The Disc Golf Course is located at Red Oak Park.
Golf: Open golf and golf leagues are available at the Birnamwood Golf Course.
Hockey: Open hockey and hockey leagues are available at the Burnsville Ice Center.
Pickleball: Pickleball is a great sport for people of all ages. It is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Courts lined for pickleball can be found at Colonial Park, Neill Park, North River Hills Park, Red Oak Park and Wood Park.
Sand Volleyball: Summer and fall leagues are available. Played at Cliff Fen Park, Alimagnet Park, and Rahn Park (Eagan)
Slow-Pitch Softball: Burnsville offers one of the largest and best adult softball programs in Minnesota. Spring/Summer and Fall leagues are available. Over 300 teams play in men's, women's and co-rec leagues.
Tennis: Lessons and social mixers are offered for tennis enthusiasts of all skill levels.
Winter Indoor Volleyball: Gather your volleyball friends and join the brand new winter volley league. Played on Monday nights
Winter Indoor Bean Bags: Join the fun with this classic yard game and brand new winter league. Played on Wednesday nights
Winter Softball: Our third year of running our Winter Softball league at Alimagnet Park! Games are played on Sunday afternoons. Please contact Scott Heitkamp for more details Scott.Heitkamp@BurnsvilleMN.gov
South of the River Recreators (S.O.R.R.)
The City of Burnsville partners with Apple Valley, Eagan, Lakeville, Savage, Farmington and Rosemount to offer unique opportunities for adult recreation. Activities take place in the S.O.R.R. cities. Age and residency requirements vary with each activity.
Adult S.O.R.R. recreation programs include Bean Bags, Hockey, Kickball, Bocce Ball and a Grand Prix Racing Series. View more information on S.O.R.R. programs and registration.

Register online or call the Recreation Department at 952-895-4500. Many of these programs fill quickly so register today!
